JACKKNIFE COMEDY is a rad monthly stand up show, hosted and produced by two dummies from Iowa, Gideon Hambright and Patrick Hastie. Every month they pick eight of their favorite comedians to come to Queens and do a set.

The long-running JACKKNIFE COMEDY started in Brooklyn in 2014 and has been featured in dozens of comedy festivals all around the country, and a special Los Angeles show was done at the famed Meltdown Comics in 2017.

Lineups are subject to change, but will always be good.

Gideon Hambright was raised along the banks of the Mississippi River in Davenport, IA. Currently resides in Brooklyn, NY but he is Midwestern through and through. His stage presence and person is as wild, wacky, and friendly as his jokes are. He’s the co-host and producer of Jackknife Comedy at QED in Queens and House of Bricks at Precious Metal in Brooklyn. Gideon has been featured in the Charm City Comedy Festival, Hudson Valley Comedy Festival and the Cinder Block Comedy Festival.

Patrick Hastie is a comedian from Glenwood, Iowa who now lives in Brooklyn, New York. He has performed all over the country and has been featured in festivals like the Brooklyn Comedy Festival, 10,000 Laughs and SF Sketchfest. He can be heard weekly on the podcast The Nostalgic Front, has been featured on The Chive, College Humor and The Interrobang and he co-produces the popular monthly show Jackknife Comedy at QED in Queens. Patrick is a very nice guy and his 5 year plan is to be cool and live forever!
